Dr Marisa Petersen has been appointed Executive Director of George Clinical, a promotion that recognizes the growth of her role whilst she held the position of Managing Director of George Clinical.
Marisa joined in 2010 with a mandate to build George Clinical into a quality focused, scalable, full service contract research organization (CRO) – a leader in the conduct of trials within the Asia-Pacific region. She has worked closely with Professor Vlado Perkovic to ensure George Clinical incorporates the scientific leadership opportunities available to it through The George Institute for Global Health.
Professor Perkovic has vacated George Clinical’s Executive Director position to devote himself to his ever growing responsibilities as Executive Director of The George Institute, Australia.
Her appointment as Executive Director acknowledges Marisa’s position in the broader George Institute organization – leading George Clinical into its next phase of growth. Marisa will continue to ensure George Clinical experiences sustainable growth and delivers our studies to the highest international standards.

Prior to joining George Clinical, she was Vice President Asia-Pacific for Omnicare Clinical Research, a global CRO.
